Yes, upgrading the suspension is highly recommended when fitting a bull bar, especially a steel one, because the added weight will cause the front of the vehicle to sag. An upgrade helps restore proper ride height and improves safety by preventing compromised handling, increased braking distance, and reduced light alignment.

Less Durable in Serious Hits: While alloy is strong, it's not as tough as steel. A solid hit from a big roo or rock can do more damage than it would to a steel bar. My steel bullbar has taken multiple hits and still shows no signs of damage (aside from the sticker coming off).
